It is crucial for artists to be aware of their surroundings as beauty is everywhere, and it is the artist's responsibility to bring that beauty to the attention of others. Visual arts expand knowledge, compassion, and appreciation to all. It has been the last fifteen years that I have been able to pursue my lifelong dream of painting watercolors and acrylics. Six of those fourteen years I took group lessons. In addition, I enroll in art workshops and continually read books on various art subjects to increase my knowledge and creativity. My paints reflect confidence and expression through the use of vibrant colors and captured details. I have been complimented by other artists as having a style that resembles Georgia O’Keefe. I do, however, love Andy Warhol’s work and occasionally dabble in “pop art.
