Since I recently moved to Vancouver, I have found the perfect environment and the support to embrace Art/furniture-making as a way of life. For the most part I am a self-taught artist trying to devote my time to the whole purpose of doing something meaningful and creative that aligns with my true nature.
Keeping a philosophy of recycling in mind, my recent work has evolved into a more modern, contemporary line that includes Restoring/Refinishing old pieces of furniture, Upholstery and Recreating colonial pieces. I am also very excited about adding new materials and techniques to my pieces, including tile and metal, to create one-of-a-kind tables, chairs, small cabinets and Tinajeros: South American colonial stands used to filter water.
My idea is to be able to reproduce and customize my pieces with the client's Feng Shui in mind, creating unique pieces that will not only enhance their homes, but will help keep our human footprint on the planet small.
