Artist's Statement
|
|
|
Being native Oklahoman, I was exposed to various talents of many western and native american artist. My paintings give a repenentation of the impact of afore mentores artist, but with my own visual concept of painting I do they convey life experience I have encountered. My work combines both the contempoary and the ralistic apporach. I strive to have the veiwer to be engulfed not only on the beauty of the works but what and how it affects them, both, during the inital vewing and later. The artist work is not and the inital impression of his or hers work, but the effect that it has on the veiwer later after veiwing it. My work is able to encompass that in a way which I feel adds both to the veiwer's interpatation and the feed back I get from the veiwer.
