The metal work in each piece that we make is entirely hand created by one or both of us.We each make our own unique pieces, but collaborate on many jewels and do a great deal of collaboration at the idea level of our work. We utilize sterling silver, 14k gold, copper, brass and sometimes titanium in conjunction with natural gemstones, pearls, and shell in the creation of our work. We use a wide range of direct construction and fabrication techniques including forging, roller printing, forming on the hydraulic press, piercing, chasing, stamping, repousse, engraving, hard soldering, fusing, inlay, overlay, riveting and heat and chemical patination. Each piece goes through a series of processes to reach its final form.
We work in a variety of styles, but the one over-riding theme that goes through our work is the mixture of metals that characterizes the jewels that we both do. We have become increasingly attracted to using the various jewelry metals in combination with each other. As an artist, it is like having more than one color in the available pallette.
Our studio is located at the same location as our house, an acre of land on the edge of the pygmy forest, about a mile from the ocean near Mendocino, about 3 hours north of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org See more of our work at
