Linda’s interest in art was cultivate during her childhood by her uncle who was an artist. As a young child she would spend many hours at the ocean with her artist pad and pastels. Her uncle also frequently took her to the Metropolitan Museum of Art which helped peak her desire to pursuit art. While living in the Pocono Mountains, Linda had an opportunity to study oil painting with Ann Sorensen. After many years of traveling throughout the USA, Linda settled in Redmond, Washington where she has studied fine art at Bellevue College and with Yiota Georgas.
Most of Linda’s inspiration comes from nature and her travels. “The beauty of nature is endless.” Art is her way of capturing and holding onto this beauty. Most of her works are oil paintings, but she also enjoys working with water color, charcoal, and pastel. Her goal is to continue to learn and grow as an artist and to explore new means of expression through other mediums.
All her work is done by hand, without the use of projectors, computer graphics, or other tracing devices.
