Join us in celebrating our 20th year of bringing fine arts and fine crafts to the gorgeous mountain town of Durango, Colorado. Nestled in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains in La Plata County, the area is home to a population of over 50,000 permanent and part-time residents. Only 40 miles from Mesa Verde National Park, designated a United Nations World Heritage Site, the area is a destination for arts and culture enthusiasts from around the globe, with a rich history in Native American, Hispanic, and Western pioneering cultures. The festival is held on quaint, tree-lined Second Avenue surrounded by boutique hotels, shops, and locally-owned restaurants. Historic Durango draws the visitors from around the world to ride its famous narrow gauge train, raft the wild Animas River that runs through it, and hike and bike its pristine mountain trails. Main Avenue, one block from the festival venue, is home to coffee shops, numerous art galleries, shops, and many fine restaurants. The beauty of Durango in the early fall is not to be missed!
