The Spring Tempe Festival of the Arts is among the oldest and best-loved traditions in the Desert Southwest. Held over a 3-day weekend, more than 225,000 visitors shop from the Valley's best selection of original fine art and craft from more than 350+ artists, from throughout North America. The show occurs in a festive street fair atmosphere in downtown Tempe, Arizona. Now in its 39th year, the Spring Festival has been named the Best Event in Arizona by the International Festival and Events Association, and received an Award of Merit from the International Downtown Association.This juried show is for independent artists presenting original art and promotes artist and public engagement. It's a festival of the arts, presenting fun for the whole family with more than two dozen street entertainers located throughout the site, Kids Innovation Station where children make visual art they can take home free, the Arizona Wine Festival wine tasting gardens, The Art of Beer microbrewery gardens, the Festival Stage and other stages featuring daily musical entertainment, and Chalk-A-Lot Street where chalk muralists create works of art and compete for prizes.
